Studio Update

Dear CYB Families,

Thank you for your love and patience as we continue to work through the ever-changing events of the past few weeks in reference to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)!

In accordance with Governor Gary Herbert and the Box Elder School District, beginning Monday, March 16th through Friday April 3rd, the studio will be closed (for both classes and rehearsals) to slow the spread of COVID-19.  According to www.coronavirus.utah.org, "State officials are encouraging everyone to take serious precautions, especially at least six-feet away from other people and staying home if showing any symptoms."

So how will this affect us going forward?

1.  I will be creating/recording online classes and sharing them with your class for the next 2 weeks (March 16-March 26).  Please be patient as there will be a learning curve for all of us involved (and I am in no way a "techie")!  My plan is to be up and running with your class video of the week by Wednesday, March 18th at the latest, in conjunction with the Box Elder School District.  I will be attaching Class Coloring Pages and some fun activities for the younger dancers (ages 3 to 7); as well as conditioning/flexibility/feet exercises and also fun activities for our older dancers (Ballet 1 to Upper Division).
2.  I will be recording a video of your dancer's Performance Dance to share so they can continue to practice at home, or the park, or your backyard, the mountain, etc. Please encourage your dancer to have fun with our new way of learning for the next couple of weeks - and SILLY SOCKS are encouraged to help celebrate St. Patrick's Day on Tuesday, March 17th. 💃🍀
3.  Spring Break will still begin on Friday, March 27th and go through Friday, April 3rd.  ENJOY YOUR TIME OFF WITH YOUR FAMILIES!
4.  If your dancer would prefer to make up the classes they will be missing over the next 2 weeks (rather than participating in our online videos), you may opt to do this as well.  Please let Miss Brooklyn know you will be doing this instead of the online videos by replying to this email.

I want to take the time to let you know how precious each and every one of your dancers is to me.  Each one of them has their own special way of being, and it is perfect for them.  I see their greatness, their light, their spirit, their radiance, their perseverance, their creativity, their magnificence.  I am in awe every day that I get to work with them.  I send love and prayers to each of you and your loved ones during this time and hope you know how much you mean to me and my own family.  We will persevere and come out on top of this - with gratitude for the many amazing lessons we have learned on so many different levels as a community, a studio, a family, a nation, and throughout the world.

My Heart to Yours,

Ms. Michelle
